About

Welcome to The L Axis!

The L Axis was born in 2020, on those days most of us had extra time to work on the things we always wanted to do. For me, that translated into creating a blog.

I wanted to have this site as a tangible space to keep memories and infuse my creativity (read: lockdown boredom). Hence, its name was born. My name is Lianet, and an axis is an imaginary line about which a body rotates. The L axis is my axis, the Lianet’s axis!

The original plan was to document everything, from cooking and DIY to our trips and adventures—to keep myself “rotating.”

As I started writing the posts, however, I found myself gearing towards travel topics. I was not planning to go anywhere soon, but The L Axis kept my wanderlust alive. Despite my never-ending travel obsession, and all the travel content, I claimed that this was NOT a travel blog.

Fast forward to 2021 and everything changed…On April 1st, 2021, my husband and I hopped on a plane (more like 3 planes) with two suitcases, two backpacks, two negative PCR tests and two one-way tickets!

THE L AXIS TRAVEL BLOG

This is not one of those “I quit my 9-5 job and went backpacking around the world” stories. This is an “I brought my job with me to travel the world” story. I am aware that this is a strong statement, but from inside my own little bubble, I am one of the lucky ones to scream that COVID-19 has been a blessing in disguise.

Here I am, living my biggest dream and doing my best to document some of it! My plan for The L Axis is now a lot different than what it was a year ago.

First, I’ll try my best to stick to it (let’s just say I am not a very consistent person!).

Second, although I still want to keep memories here, useful blog posts are now my priority. I want to share as much valuable information from our experiences as I possibly can. I do not consider myself a writer nor a photographer, but I rely a lot on blog posts when planning my trips, so it feels good to give back!

You can now say this is a travel blog! Officially anyway.

Thank you for stopping by and reading my story. I am flattered!

Feel free to reach out at any time & stick around.

The best is yet to come!
